Wolken Family Session || Chicago, IL Family Photographer

If you've been following my work for a bit you may have noticed that I mostly photograph couples. Recently, I have also grown to love family sessions. There is something so special and sweet about coming into a family's space and capturing their life and love for each other. Capturing a family's unique antics and personalities has been such a joy for me. You never really know what you're walking into with each session. 

Earlier this month I had the pleasure of capturing the Wolken family. About one week earlier they had welcomed their adorable new son into their family, and it was so fun to see the happiness everyone shared for this little ball of joy - especially their older son. His reactions are truly priceless.

Valparaiso Family Session || Valparaiso, IN Family Session

Julie and Wayne welcomed Graham into their life just one year ago... and then moved into their new home in Valparaiso, IN about a month ago. Safe to say they have had an eventful year! 

When Julie invited me to their home to capture photos of them in their new background, I couldn't have been more thrilled. Loved capturing these precious moments for this family of three.

Logan Square Family Session || Chicago, IL Family Photographer

Just a few months ago, this sweet family welcomed Judah into their world. I had the joy of capturing some adorable moments for them in their home. Quickly I learned that Judah enjoys putting his hands in his mouth, playing with his cute little feet, and flying through the air (with some support from his parents, of course!). Geneva || Chicago, IL Mini Portrait Session

Earlier this month I met up with Geneva of Kite & Spring Photography. Geneva has been such a sweet friend of mine this past year - sushi dates are our norm. For our most recent meetup, we decided to do some photos together to try out some new techniques at her apartment. It was so fun to think outside the box a little bit and get creative in new ways. Will definitely be incorporating some of these things in upcoming shoots. Enjoy!

Leia || Westville, IN Newborn Session

Back in November I did Amanda and Josh's pregnancy reveal shoot, maternity shoot in April and now newborn session! Leia (yes, the name was inspired by Star Wars - I asked!)  is absolutely adorable and I've loved being apart of this journey with them. Enjoy all this cuteness from their latest session!

Sandra + Andre || Wilmette, IL Engagement Session

Passion. If I had to describe this engagement session in one word, it would be passion. Sandra and Andre have a love for each other that it so playful, caring, real, passionate... And, they had no fear in showing it.

This session was filled with constant smiles, adorable dogs, dances to some Norah Jones, a few broken cattails, and contagious laughter.

This girl is near and dear to my heart. We've been friends since we were 3 years old. We've gotten into many shenanigans together and it is such treat that she has moved back to Illinois and has found someone that loves her dearly.

These two are absolutely beautiful and it was their wedding that actually brought my husband and I together. I have much love for these two. This golden hour shoot on their Chicago rooftop was just too good.
