Haley + Vincent || Friendship Botanic Gardens Michigan City, IN Wedding

This  year on June 8th I had the pleasure of capturing Haley and Vincent’s wedding day at Friendship Botanic Gardens in Michigan City, IN. The whole day came together beautifully. The photos will give a good view of it all but I just thought it was worth calling out a few of my favorite moments/aspects from this amazing day:

  • The friends and family that surrounded Haley and Vincent were just so kind and filled with so much happiness for the soon-to-be newlyweds.

  • ALL the flowers seen throughout the day were put together by Haley and her bridesmaids. Let me say it for you - WOW!

  • You can just tell from the first look how much Vincent loves and adores his bride.

  • This bridal party was pretty large, but I could clearly see how much history and love was there between them all.

  • During the maid of honor and best man speech, Haley used her grandmother’s handkerchief to wipe away her many happy, joy-filled tears.

  • The dance floor was lit and a pink blow-up microphone added many laughs and hilarious captures to this catalog.

Simply put, this day was special. Now hope you enjoy looking through as much as I enjoyed capturing it!

Sweet Melissa Desserts || La Porte, IN Commercial Shoot

Fall is my favorite season, hands down. I'm so glad I had the chance to meet up with Melissa of Sweet Melissa Desserts again to feature some of her Fall themed desserts! Garwood Apple Orchard in La Porte, Indiana gave the perfect Fall colored backdrop for this session.

Back in August I met with Melissa for our first session together and I heard a lot about what initial inspired her to start her own baking business - it's an adorable story about her grandparents (check it here after this blog post)! So for this session we decided to continue to tell her story by including her mom (or mama) in this session. Melissa's mama has encouraged Melissa throughout this whole process and she is quite the baker herself! Melissa's mama made the buttery caramels for this shoot and they were incredibly delicious. These two make such a great team, and my sweet tooth sure appreciates them. ;)

Hannah + TJ || LaPotre, IN Groomsmen Tribute

There were too many hilarious photos of these groomsmen to not make a blog post about it. I kid you not, I was crying at times when I was editing these. These guys have been friends for many years and I'm pretty sure their comfort level with each other shows it. Hope you enjoy this added peak at Hannah + TJ's wedding!

Hannah + TJ || LaPorte, IN Wedding

Hannah + TJ - maybe it was the way you two looked at each other, or maybe it was your personal vows you read to one another, or the the excitement you had for marriage, maybe it was how crazy/weird/awesome your friends and family are, or the awesome idea to have breakfast for dinner, or maybe the incredible dance party you had that led to TJ and all the guys in the pond, or maybe because you two are friends of mine and I am incredibly thankful and honored to have captured your day - or maybe just a combinations of all these - whatever it was, your day was incredible and is one that I will never forget. Thank you again for having me. PSA - Make sure you make your way to the end for a hilarious added surprise. ;)

Leia || Westville, IN Newborn Session

Back in November I did Amanda and Josh's pregnancy reveal shoot, maternity shoot in April and now newborn session! Leia (yes, the name was inspired by Star Wars - I asked!)  is absolutely adorable and I've loved being apart of this journey with them. Enjoy all this cuteness from their latest session!

Amanda + Josh || Chesterton, IN Maternity Session

I've known Amanda + Josh since last November when I photographed their pregnancy reveal session. As I have watched their family grow, I am reminded of what a joy it is to be a lifestyle photographer. I've been able to experience and share in the excitement with my clients as they celebrate new life chapters. This sunset maternity session was nothing short of beautiful, and I am that much more excited to meet their newborn come June.

Hannah + T.J. || Chesterton, IN Engagement Session

Hannah and TJ at the Indiana Dunes. This session just shows how much these two love and care for each other, and I feel honored to capture these moments for them. Looking forward to their wedding this July.

Sarai + Roberto || Schererville, IN Wedding

Sarai + Roberto's winter wedding was filled with so much joy and laughter. Every time I saw them I could tell that they were perfect for each other. I am honored to have been able to capture their wedding day... and their crazy dance moves on the dance floor ;)

Emma || Valparaiso, IN Portrait Session

Emma is such a free spirit and I love it. This was one of those sessions that came together rather quickly with a stop at a local thrift shop for an outfit (isn't it gorgeous?!) and grocery store for some fresh florals... and just like that we had a vintage/boho goddess. And, this winter wonderland backdrop made for an even more dreamy shoot. Insert cat heart eye emoji here.
